Hole 1 - Par 4
398 Yards
A super starting hole that has no bunkers. Your tee shot must favor the right side to avoid overhanging trees on the left of this unique green with a false front. You're better long than short on the second shot.
Hole 2 - Par 5
536 yards
"One of the best Par 5s I've ever designed," says Greg Norman. The second shot placement here is crucial. You must avoid the bunkers to set up the third shot to a green with a variety of pin placements.
Hole 3 - Par 3
200 yards
A slightly downhill Par 3 guarded by two bunkers on the left. The smart shot here is to the front half of the green: take your two-putt and get your par. Don't flirt with long and right, it could lead to a big score.
Hole 4 - Par 4
358 yards
A short Par 4 that gives you options off the tee. Either place your shot left of the fairway bunker, or try to knock it over the bunker to leave a shorter shot to the green. Your second shot tends to play longer than it looks.
Hole 5 - Par 4
426 yards
A spectacular, beautiful downhill Par 4. Your tee shot must avoid fairway bunkers and tall fescue grass on the right to set up a difficult second shot off a sloping fairway. The green is the narrowest and smallest one on the course. It's guarded by bunkers on the right and Lake Norman on the left.
Hole 6 - Par 4
385 yards
This relatively short Par 4 is deceivingly difficult. The tee shot must be in the right half of the fairway to have a direct route to the green. Distance control on the approach shot is imperative. This green is extremely shallow. Hit it short and you are in Lake Norman. Hit it long and you have a very difficult chip to get up and down.

Hole 7 - Par 3
166 yards
A beautiful Par 3 featuring another stunning view and another shot that must carry Lake Norman. Although relatively short, this hole can be difficult if the shot is missed to either side of the green or if it's short. Tall fescue grass guards the right. The water in the front and to the left can be very intimidating.

Hole 8 - Par 5
554 yards
This Par 5 features a slightly blind tee shot over a hill to a bowl-shaped fairway. Longer hitters will have a chance to reach this green in two. The shot to the green should favor the left side of the green or risk dealing with the collection area of closely mown tifdwarf and a difficult chip or pitch.

Hole 9 - Par 4
355 yards
The shortest Par 4 on the course. The tee shot is uphill to a sloping fairway that plays very tight and narrow. An accurate tee shot will leave a short-iron approach. Your second shot plays uphill to a green well guarded by bunkers.

Hole 10 - Par 4
478 yards
This hole is a monster. It's extremely long with an abundance of trouble lurking. Distance and accuracy are a must. A tee shot to the right side of the fairway can cut off some distance but it brings the water into play. The long second shot should be played to the left to avoid the water.

Hole 11 - Par 4
405 yards
A well-placed tee shot over the fairway bunker will leave a clear shot home to this slight dogleg left Par 4. The green is very undulating, well guarded by bunkers and shaded by surrounding trees.

Hole 12 - Par 5
559 yards
This double dogleg Par 5 gives you a number of options. Long hitters can get home in two, whereas shorter hitters must place their shots strategically. As you get closer to the green, the water comes more into play, but the angle is better for the approach shot.

Hole 13 - Par 3
186 yards
You can't go to the right here or you are in Lake Norman. This magnificent Par 3 requires extreme accuracy. If you bail out to the left, you face a horrific bunker shot with the green running away from you towards the lake. A three is a very good score on this hole.

Hole 14 - Par 4
449 yards
Another dramatic hole that doglegs into and around Lake Norman. This long Par 4 requires two strong shots to reach the green. This uniquely shaped green provides many different pin placements to challenge you.

Hole 15 - Par 3
183 yards
This Par 3 is unique for The Point - no trees! However, this green is heavily guarded by bunkers to visually challenge you. It is tough to see the bottom of the flagstick on this green, and it is also difficult to gauge the wind on this unprotected hole.

Hole 16 - Par 5
552 yards
This is a classic risk/reward Par 5. A long tee shot will tempt you to go for the green in two from a slightly downhill lie. The other option is to play left and be challenged by playing over Lake Norman twice. A well-placed shot over the lake to this semi-island fairway will leave a short iron to the green.

Hole 17 - Par 4
400 yards
This dogleg left requires a tee shot favoring the right side of the fairway. Hitting it left here leaves you no shot to the green. The longer you hit it, the more you can see the green. The downhill second shot must be very accurate to avoid the extremely steep-faced, sod-walled bunker that surrounds the green.

Hole 18 - Par 4
441 yards
A fabulous finishing hole, the 18th has it all: length, hazards, a zoysia walled bunker and beautiful backdrop. Lake Norman flanks the right and guards the front of the green, so a drive in the fairway is a necessity in order to clear the water and reach the green. A par here is always a good score.
